*Eugène Samuel Grasset (1841 (5?) – 1917) was a Swiss decorative artist who worked in Paris, France in a variety of creative design fields during the Belle Époque. He is considered a pioneer in Art Nouveau design.

** Edmund Spenser (about 1552 - 13 January 1599) was a British poet. In 1590 he published the first three books of The Faerie Queene, a long epic poem that the author himself described as an allegory. In the poem the Fairy Queen was Elizabeth I. The poems has inspired many writers, including John Milton, John Keats, James Joyce and Ezra Pound.
